Looking for a downtown spot with history, heart, and game-day energy? You will find Sporty’s at 833 Texas Street in Fairfield.
Harry has owned his bar since 1999. A longtime local favorite, Sporty’s grew from years of hands-on dedication and strong community ties. What started as Harry’s Sportsmans Lounge took on a new identity after a 2013 fire, when firefighters on scene made one thing clear: “We have to save Sporty’s.”
Today, Sporty’s reflects both its legacy and downtown Fairfield’s momentum. With help from the City’s REAP Program, the bar updated its façade and became the first in the district to activate its alley space, creating a back patio for customers to gather, watch the game, and enjoy the atmosphere.
Sporty’s shows how local businesses grow with a neighborhood while keeping the community feeling that made people love them in the first place.
